Visiting
Do I need to book?
No. Walk-ins are always welcome. Booking ahead holds a VR chamber, a VR escape room or a racing rig for a set time. Book a time
Is it all ages?
Yes, until 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. After that it is 19+. VR and VR escape rooms are for ages 7 and up, and racing is 10 and up.
Is the building accessible?
Yes. The whole building is wheelchair accessible.
Can we bring food?
Yes. Order from Hi-Way Bowl, in the same lot, through our staff and we bring it to your table. Or bring your own food.
Can we bring our own drinks?
No outside alcohol. We are fully licensed, so that part is the law.
Where do I park?
Free, right out front. We share the lot with Hi-Way Bowl, Valley Axe and The Arena. Our door has the ARCADE sign.
Prices & paying
Are prices before tax?
Yes. Prices are plus HST. FareHarbor adds a 6% booking fee when you book online.
Do you take Passport funding?
Yes. District Beta is eligible for Passport funding. Call or email before your visit and we will sort out the details.
Can I use a gift card online?
Not yet. Gift cards can't be used in online booking. Call or email to book, then pay with your gift card when you arrive.
Can I pay for a party with a gift card?
Yes. Gift cards work on parties and group bookings. Pay with it on the day.
VR & racing
Is VR $30 each?
No. $30 an hour books the whole chamber. Bring friends and take turns in the headset.
Why are VR escape rooms $30 each?
Every player gets their own chamber and headset for the game, so VR escape rooms are priced per player.
How old do you need to be?
VR and VR escape rooms are for ages 7 and up. Arvi also rates each VR escape room 10+, 13+ or 16+. Racing is for ages 10 and up.
Can we race each other?
Yes. The two rigs sit side by side. Book both and race on the same track.
Birthday parties
How old do guests need to be?
Parties are for ages 7 and up. The package name is the headcount, not an age.
What if we need to cancel?
Half now holds the date. Cancel 48 hours ahead or more and you get a full refund. Inside 48 hours, you get store credit.
How late can I book?
Online booking closes 24 hours before. Inside that, give us a call and we'll see what's open.
Can we bring our own food?
Yes. Bring the cake, snacks, whatever you like. Pick Pizza Party if you'd rather we sort the pizza.
Groups & staff parties
Is there a deposit?
No. Pay a deposit, the full amount on the day, or get an invoice after. PO, e-transfer, cheque or card.
What if we cancel?
14 days or more out, nothing is owed. Inside 14 days we bill half the minimum. Inside 7 days, the full minimum.
How big a group?
8 to 40+ people. Weekday daytimes are the easiest dates to get. See groups
Camps
Does extended care cost extra?
No. Drop-off from 7am and pick-up until 5pm are included in the camp price.
How many staff are there?
Last summer we ran one staff member for every four campers.
What about allergies?
Lunches must be nut-free. Staff review allergy and medical notes every morning before snack and lunch.
Who can pick up my child?
Only the adults listed on your registration. If we don't recognize you, we'll check ID.
After 9
What happens after 9?
Fridays and Saturdays from 9pm it's 19+. The bar stays open, the console lounge is free and the arcade is still $1. We ID. See After 9
What time do you close?
Late. It depends on the night. Call ahead if you're cutting it close.
