General

  • Enter from home with this purely online, cross platform tournament!

  • Rules are subject to change at any time. All players must read and understand the rules before competing. In the event of any disputes, any District Beta staff will have final say.

  • Any spam or disrespectful messages towards District Beta staff or other tournament participants may result in ban or ejection from the tournament.

  • A Double Elimination Tournament Bracket will be randomly generated 15 minutes before official start time, all teams must be registered before that time to be included in the tournament.

Team

  • You must own your League of Legends account used in the tournament. If you are caught sharing your account with another player, you will be ejected from the tournament and banned from future competitions.

  • All players must have complete and accurate League of Legends accounts listed with registration.

  • Teams are allowed, but not required, to have one (1) spare player for this tournament to be used in the event of a player no longer being able to participate due to hardware issues or other causes.

  • Players are only permitted to have one team per tournament. If you are caught evading this rule, all your teams will be ejected.

No-Shows and Attendance

  • Once a game is called, each team/player has a total of 15 minutes to show up for their match. If a team does not show up within 15 minutes they will forfeit that match.

  • If you cannot contact your opponents directly, players are missing, or the team stalls/causes delays you may contact District Beta staff via Discord to report a no-show.

  • Teams may agree to play matches ahead of the scheduled time if all players are ready. You may only play matches early if they have been published on the official bracket.

  • If a match is played prior to being published on the tournament bracket, it will not count.

Match Procedures

  • A District Beta staff will call matches in the discord based on the tournament bracket, from then on it is the team captains called responsibility to play through the game and report the results back.

  • The team in slot A (on top) of the match on the tournament bracket will host the match. The hosting team is responsible for creating the match and using correct match settings listed below.

  • The hosting team will be Team 1 in the lobby.

  • The hosting team is responsible for adding the opponents and providing lobby info. If you cannot contact your opponent via League of Legends, try our Discord server, private messages, and if all else fails contact District Beta staff.

  • The winning team captain is required to submit a screenshot of the final scoreboard to our #lol-match-results channel on Discord.

  • Not submitting results or submitting false reports may lead to an ejection from the tournament.

Match Settings

  • All games will be played in a custom game on Summoner’s Rift.

  • Team size: 5

  • Game type: Tournament Draft

  • Allow Spectators: Lobby Only

  • The match settings above are NOT allowed to be altered in any way unless specified by District Beta staff.

  • Tampering with rules or settings will result in forfeit of the current game, players caught tampering more than once will be ejected from the tournament. 

Pauses

  • Each team will have a pause of 10 minutes for justified causes (disconnections, internet issues, etc). A team can give part of their time to the other team if they want to. The match can be unpaused only when both teams confirm they are ready.

Scouting

  • Prior to tournament start time, all players League of Legends usernames will be available to all participants to be used for scouting purposes. 

  • Any spam or disrespectful messages towards tournament participants may result in ban or ejection from the tournament.

Connections and Disconnections

  • If a player disconnects before the game begins, the game must be restarted.

  • If a player disconnects or quits during the match, their team may continue at a player disadvantage, unless both teams agree to a full replay.

  • If both parties cannot connect to each other, you must contract District Beta staff to help resolve the issue.

  • Abusing these rules by deliberately leaving matches or manipulating connections will lead to a ban.

Cheating

  • Cheating or deliberately breaking rules in any way is prohibited, if caught cheating you will be ejected from the tournament and banned from future tournaments.

  • Any exploits of glitches are prohibited.

  • If you believe an opponent is cheating, you must provide proof with your claim. The accused cheating is innocent until proven guilty. If you submit a false report, you may be ejected or banned from future tournaments.
