Team building in Sarnia
Timed challenges on racing sims, VR and arcade cabinets. A host runs it, a scoreboard settles it, and everyone gets a turn.

The challenges
Each one leans on a different skill, so a different person gets to be the hero.

Racing sims
Same track, side by side in racing seats. Finish order sets the points.

VR
Wireless headsets in a private chamber. One player is in the game, the team is yelling advice from outside it.

VR escape rooms
Puzzles that only crack when people talk to each other. The closest thing to real teamwork on the list.

Arcade
Classic cabinets and leaderboards. Easy to learn in ten seconds, hard to stop playing.

How it works
Five or six timed challenges. Points by finishing place. A team of twenty rotates through in under an hour.

- 01
Split into teams
Your host splits the group into teams of four to six. Mix the departments or let them pick. Your call.
- 02
Send one player up
Each challenge takes one player from every team. Next round, someone new goes. Nobody sits out the whole time.
- 03
Play it timed
Head to head, on the clock. The rest of the team watches, cheers and coaches from the side.
- 04
Score by rank
First place takes the most points. Every result goes up on a live scoreboard so nobody can argue. They will anyway.
- Final
Crown the champions
The top team takes home the trophy, and the bragging rights back at the office.
Why games work for teams
-
01
Titles don't count
The new hire can beat the VP on the racing sim. That's the whole point.
-
02
Low stakes
Competitive enough to care, silly enough that losing is funny.
-
03
New for everyone
Most people have never tried free-roam VR. Nobody walks in an expert.
-
04
Something for each person
Gamers, puzzlers and the person who swears they're bad at games all get a round they're good at.
What it costs
Per person, before HST. Host, scoreboard and trophy included.

Good for a staff night out. Add pizza and drink tickets.
24 people, a Wednesday afternoon
Less than most team dinners, and people talk about it after.
$600 minimum. Groups from 8 to 40 and up. Over 37 people we add a second host and run heats, same price per person. Just want the place to yourselves? See private play
Team building questions
Anything else, ask for Christian at 519-491-0727.
How many people can you take?
8 to 40 and up. It runs best at 12 to 36. Over 37 we add a second host and run heats.
How long does it take?
About 90 minutes for a group of 24. Add an hour of free play after for $15 a person.
Do people need to be gamers?
No. Your host explains each challenge before it starts, and each one suits a different kind of person, so the non-gamers get their shot too.
Can we eat?
Pizza is $10 a person, or we can arrange catered platters. Order Hi-Way Bowl through our staff and it's brought to your table, or bring your own catering. Need a room to talk shop first? The boardroom is $50 an hour.
Is there a bar?
Yes, we're licensed. Drink tickets are available. No outside alcohol.
How do we pay?
The full amount on the day, a deposit, or an invoice after. PO, e-transfer, cheque or card.
What if we cancel or need to move it?
14 days or more out, nothing is owed. Inside 14 days we bill half the minimum, inside 7 days the full minimum. One free date move with 7 days notice.
Is the building accessible?
Yes. The whole building is wheelchair accessible and parking is free.
Tell us the date. We'll send a quote.
A rough headcount is fine. You get a written quote with our HST number and the terms.
